Farmers Market Vendor Boot Camp Training Starts January 17

Have you wanted to learn more about selling at your local farmers market? The UT Institute of Agriculture Center is offering free training beginning Tuesday, January 17, 2023. All classes will be held on Zoom at 10 a.m. CST and will last for one hour. The classes will include:

January 17, 2023 – Record Keeping Tools and Tricks – Keep up with the cost of production, create enterprise budgets, and learn about UT Extension’s Farming Fundamentals program.

January 19, 2023 – Milk at the Market – Learn about regulations and guidelines for selling milk directly to consumers.

January 24, 2023- Sales Tax – When and how to include sales tax.

January 26, 2023 – Be Your Best at the Market – Practices to improve your market experience and sales.

January 31, 2023 – Consumer Preferences at Markets – Gain insight about what drives consumer purchasing.

February 2, 2023 – Postharvest Handling: Your Job Doesn’t Stop at Harvest – Maximize shelf life and increase customer retention.

Grand Junction Farmers Market

Hours: May – October, Fridays 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
