All Charges Dismissed and Expunged Against Fayette County School Principal Ford

According to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, all charges against Fayette County Schools Principal Dr. Fabre Ford, related to an incident which occurred in 2024, have been dismissed and expunged from her record. On February 12, 2024, Dr. Fabre Ford was arrested and charged with Section 39-16-503 of the Tennessee Code – Tampering with or Fabricating Evidence. The charges stemmed from an incident which occurred at a Fayette County School.

“After reviewing the case, the district attorney declined to prosecute Dr. Ford. As such, on March 28, 2024, the charges against Dr. Ford were fully dismissed. Thereafter, the Court subsequently approved Dr. Ford’s Petition for Expungement which permanently removes any and all allegations of criminal misconduct from her public record,” shared the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office.

In a previous press release Dr. Ford said, “I would like to express my gratitude to the Eagles, my FCPS family, and the community for their support during this challenging time. Your words of encouragement allowed me to press on and continue my commitment to educating my babies.”

Superintendent Dr. Versie R. Hamlett previously stated, “At all times, Principal Ford takes great care to adhere to the law and Fayette County Public School District policies. Dr. Ford is an incredible asset to our school system. Her passion for her students, staff, and community is apparent. We are thankful and relieved that justice was served and the charges have been handled appropriately. As always, we thank law enforcement for their diligence and working with us to keep our students and employees safe.”
