About the Scholarship:
The Kemia Monay McClellan Memorial Scholarship was created to honor the life and legacy of someone who meant so much to her family, friends, and our community. The scholarship will provide financial assistance to Bolivar Central High School Senior(s) who plan to attend college or trade school in the fall.
About Kemia:
Kemia Monay McClellan, 17, was a Bolivar Central High School senior set to graduate in May 2024. Kemia tragically passed away after a vehicle accident on October 27, 2023, in Hardeman County. Her unexpected and tragic passing shook our community, brought everyone together as one, and reminded us how short life can be. In November 2023, I announced that I would create a Memorial Scholarship in honor of Kemia McClellan. When creating the “Kemia Monay McClellan Memorial Scholarship,” I wanted to ensure her memory and legacy would never be forgotten, and this scholarship ensures they won’t.
