Are You Seeking Jesus?

If you were driving on Highway 64 on the morning of Friday, September 5, 2025, just past the ball fields, and heading into Bolivar, you may have seen Loren Agee holding a sign with a question: Are you seeking Jesus? As cars drove by, Loren also offered a friendly wave for those reading his message. Many honked their horns as if in a supportive response.

Mr. Agee has lived in Hardeman County since 1979. He shared he is not affiliated with any church and noted the reason he is holding the sign is because that is what God told him to do.

“I got saved outside of the church and I have been saved since 2004. I back slid for a while. The Lord sent me back out into the wilderness for 20 years and then He actually brought me back,” said Mr. Agee. “I was drinking and doing drugs and a little sexual immorality as well. He allowed me to turn away from those things one at a time, and they were out of my life . . . and then he told me to make this sign, and here I am!”

The stop near the ball fields is one of two or three other places in Bolivar where he stands with his sign. Mr. Agee also goes to Middleton where he planned to head later in the afternoon. If you are in Middleton, you may see him standing at the crossroads where the Exxon used to be. Mr. Agee would love for you to honk your horn or stop by to talk.
