Arts Council Presents a Tribute to Elvis Concert
Look out Elvis fans! Brian Lee Howell and his 5pc. Showband return to the Hardeman County Arts Council for a Tribute to Elvis concert on Saturday, August 12, 2023. Taken from Elvis’ 1975 release with the same title, Pieces Of My Life, this is a complete story-line production that depicts pieces of Elvis’ career . . . highlighting every era including the movies of the ’50s, ’60s, ’70s, and the ’68 Comeback Special, Gospel Performances, Concerts, and more.
Elvis impersonator Brian Lee Howell last wowed the Arts Council audience in December when he and his band presented An Elvis Kind of Christmas. They return to perform many of the memorable songs that made Elvis famous. Included in each era are songs from a particular decade, each with its own defined style, along with a wardrobe that represents that certain time frame. Howell will perform early tunes that made Elvis a Rock-n-Roll star recreating the new, original, and rockin’ feel of Elvis back in the 1950s. Songs from the 1960s will be based around certain movies and the ’68 Comeback Special with the famous black leather. And the concert would not be complete without a scarf-wearing Elvis and his signature jumpsuit, big belt, and amazing voice that everyone remembers so well.
Tickets are general admission and currently on sale for $15 online at www.hcactn.org. If available, they will be sold at the door for $20.
