Backermann’s Country Market Extends Hours

Racing to Bäckermann’s Country Market before it closes for the evening will not be as hard on Thursday and Friday nights as it is now serving dinner from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The popular Mennonite market, which attracts local and out-of-state customers, will serve its regular café menu items as well as a Thursday and Friday night special of burgers and chicken sandwiches.
Bäckermann’s Country Market is a family-owned business owned by Mark and Martha Yoder. Shoppers can purchase freshly made bread, cakes, and cookies. Made-to-order sandwiches, hot soups, chili, sliced meats and cheeses are some of the items you will find in the deli; farm fresh eggs and milk in the refrigerator; jams and jellies, candies, cinnamon rolls, snack foods, and seasonings line the shelves and that is just for starters.
The regular café items (ex: soups and sandwiches) will be available all day and the evening specials will be ready for purchase at 5 p.m. each Thursday and Friday. The store will be open for regular shopping and the café closes at 7:45 p.m.
Bäckermann’s Country Market is located in Whiteville {240 U.S. Highway 64, Whiteville 38075}. The telephone number is (731) 254-8473.
