Bike Safety and Maintenance: Smart Cycling Course Offered in Bolivar
Would you like to improve your health and make new friends at the same time? Beginners and all fitness levels are invited to join biking instructors, Cornell Falls and Gene Fitzhugh, for a Smart Cycling Course on Saturday, August 27, 2022, at First Baptist Church in Bolivar from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The course will provide you with the tips and techniques that increase the benefits of bicycling while staying safe when riding along the streets and roads across Hardeman County.
After registration, you will begin with a self-guided online overview of safe cycling. During the course, there will be a short in-class overview of safety and bike maintenance, a parking lot skills learning experience, and a 45-minute skills bike ride across Bolivar.
You must be 16+ years of age to participate. Please bring your bike and bike helmet.
Pre-registration is required. Deadline for registration is Wednesday, August 24, 2022. Register by calling UT-TSU Extension at (731) 658-2421.
Cornell Falls also teaches children bicycle skills through the Bolivar Academy of Cycling.
