Bolivar BBQ Blowout Crowns 2025 Winners
The 2025 Bolivar BBQ Blowout completed another successful year with ribs, pulled pork, chicken, and whole hog smoking on grills, which lined Lafayette Street at the farmers market pavilion. Professional and backyard “pitmasters” brought everything they had to the competition from skill to flavor and two teams rose above them all to take the championship titles in both divisions. Bragging rights and contest money went to Grand Champions Swine Life in the Professional Division and Heavenly Manna BBQ in the Backyard Division.
Professional teams competed in three areas that included Ribs, Pulled Pork, and Whole Hog. Backyard teams competed in three areas that included Ribs, Pulled Pork, and Chicken. This year, the annual barbecue competition was the culmination of almost two weeks long of Bolivar Bicentennial Events, which kicked off on Saturday, October 18, 2025. There were several returning teams from the 2024 Bolivar BBQ Blowout competition on Friday and Saturday, October 24 and 25, 2025, like Professional Division Poker Porkers, Slabs-A-Smokin, and Will Be Que BBQ, and members of the Bolivar Police Department, who formed 5-0 Smokers to compete in the Backyard Division.
Will Be Que BBQ, which won several titles last year including Professional Division Grand Champion returned to defend its titles. Although the competition was tough this year, Will Be Que BBQ managed to place in every division of competition with 5th Place in Ribs, 4th Place in Pulled Pork, and 1st Place in Whole Hog.
