Bolivar Central High School’s Daniel Fletcher Receives Honorable Mention in TNSO Essay Contest
The results are in for the 2024 TNSO DKG High School Essay Contest and a certificate for Honorable Mention was awarded to Daniel Fletcher, a senior at Bolivar Central High School. His winning essay entitled “AI: The Double-Edged Sword of Today and Tomorrow” was chosen for Honorable Mention by the State Projects Committee of the Tennessee State Organization of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society, International from among 40 entries from students in grades 9-12 across the state of Tennessee.
Students were asked to respond with a 500-word original essay showing the positive and negative effects of Artificial Intelligence [A.I.] on their lives, now and in the future. One of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society’s purposes is to provide scholarships as well as to support literacy through an annual statewide essay contest sponsored by the State Projects Committee.
Dr. Dorrie Powell and members of Beta Sigma chapter of TNSO Delta Kappa Gamma submitted this essay on behalf of Daniel Fletcher, a student of Ellen Fulghum in the Hardeman County Schools System. Congratulations to this most-deserving student for excellence in writing and for being awarded Honorable Mention in the 2024 TNSO DKG High School Essay Contest.
