Nearly 20 third graders came out and participated in Bolivar Elementary School’s Third Grade Spelling Bee on Tuesday, March 12, 2024.

Announcer April Pulliam greeted the children and their families at the beginning of the exciting evening. The third grade spelling bee serves as practice and preparation for the fourth through eighth grade Hardeman County Spelling Bee which is held each year.

At the end of the evening, three spellers were awarded trophies for their outstanding spelling skills. The 1st Place winner was Quenelius King; 2nd Place winner was Brayden Jeter; and the 3rd Place winner was Addison Scott.

Bolivar Elementary School teachers expressed the same sentiment to the students who participated in the competition, “We appreciate all the hard work you put into preparing for the Spelling Bee. We are so proud of each and every one of you!”

Doris Keller, Donnie Sipes, and Jamie Sipes volunteered their evening to serve as judges for the event.
