Bolivar Fire Rescue Department Certified in Basic Extrication

Members of the Bolivar Fire Rescue Department were recently certified in Basic Extrication by the Hardeman County Rescue Squad.  Training consisted of eight hours of classroom instruction prior to the practical application of skills on Saturday, October 12, 2024.

Training with the rescue squad on extrication skills is vital for ensuring that first responders can quickly and safely remove individuals from dangerous situations, such as car accidents. These hands-on sessions improve coordination, enhance the use of specialized tools, and build confidence in high-pressure scenarios. Proper training not only increases the chances of a successful rescue but also minimizes further harm to victims, ensuring a swift, safe, and effective response during emergencies.
