Bolivar Laundromat Opens, Ready for Business
Bolivar and Hardeman County residents now have a new option for washing and drying their clothes with the opening of the Bolivar Laundromat that is located in Bolivar, 110 South Washington Street, 38008, across the street from the Farmers Market Pavilion. Dale Burns and his son, Dalton, who will manage the laundromat, were on hand and joined by family and friends on Monday, April 29, 2024, for the ribbon cutting ceremony.
“I have been in the cleaning business for 30 years. My wife, Michelle, and I started it,” said Mr. Burns who shared the services that will be offered. “It is 24/7. We have wash, dry, and fold service where customers can drop their laundry off and we’ll wash, fold, and they can come back and pick it up, so they don’t have to do it.”
The Burns family owns three laundromats, a car wash, and a commercial cleaning company. The Bolivar Laundromat opened earlier in the morning on Monday and already had customers using the machines. Some shared a few comments.
“Other people have washers and dryers at home, but many people don’t. This is what we needed,” said Cornell McKinnie. ”You can come in and get your load done in one wash and don’t have to pack your clothes.”
DAdria Boyd agreed the size of the machines make a big difference when washing her clothes.
“I like that the machines are a good size,” said Ms. Boyd.
The newer equipment and larger machines will be two features that will appeal to customers. There is a vending machine and ATM on site. Mr. Burns shared more about what customers can expect when using the laundromat.
“We will have a full-time attendant on site seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.,” said Mr. Burns who also noted the facility has security cameras. “Having a fulltime attendant, if any issues arise, they will be able to assist customers using the laundromat, and that person will also be cleaning.”
The Bolivar Laundromat is open and ready for business and the Burns family is ready to serve customers.
“Come give us a shot. I guarantee they will be satisfied. If they aren’t, we will fix it.,” said Mr. Burns.
