Bolivar Library Plans Fun Events to Encourage Summer Reading

The Bolivar-Hardeman County Library has planned a summer of fun events to encourage kids to keep reading during summer break. Children through age 18 are invited to participate. The summer reading program will kickoff on June 1, 2023, with a waterslide, snacks, and games at the Bolivar City Park. You may register at the kickoff event or at the library.

June 1 – Summer Reading Kickoff at Bolivar City Park from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Registration, games, snacks, and a waterslide! Bring a towel!

June 29 – Summer Reading Community Day starts at 1p.m. Spend some time with our first responders and take a tour of their vehicles!

July 13 – Chickasaw Zoo visits from 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. Meet and pet the animals – right here at the library!

July 27 – Summer Reading Finale from 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. The top 50 winners will receive a free ice cream from 20 Below Rolled Ice Cream and the Grand Prize Winner will be announced.
