Bolivar Police Department Investigating Shooting Incident on Taylor Cove

Bolivar, TN — The Bolivar Police Department is actively investigating a shooting that occurred on February 11, 2026, in the Taylor Cove area.

At approximately 5:46 p.m., officers with the Bolivar Police Department were dispatched to the Taylor Cove area following multiple reports of gunfire.  Upon arrival, officers found two persons with injuries resulting from the incident.

Criminal investigators with the Bolivar Police Department responded to the scene and are actively processing evidence and conducting interviews. This remains an ongoing investigation, and additional details will not be released at this time.

Bolivar Police Chief Michael Jones stated,
“The safety of our community is our top priority. Incidents involving gunfire in residential neighborhoods place innocent citizens, including children, at serious risk. Our officers and investigators are working diligently to identify those responsible and ensure they are held accountable. We encourage anyone with information related to this incident to contact the Bolivar Police Department.”

Bolivar Mayor Julian McTizic added,
“Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this violent incident, especially the individuals who were injured. Violence has no place in our community. The City of Bolivar fully supports the Bolivar Police Department as they continue their investigation and work to keep our neighborhoods safe.”
