On Tuesday, July 29, 2025, the Bolivar Police Department officially welcomed four new police officers and promoted four current police officers in a swearing in ceremony, which was held at Bolivar City Hall. City of Bolivar Mayor Julian McTizic was on hand to swear in the new officers as well as the ones receiving promotions.

Joining the rank of officer are Christopher James Beasley, Cody Taylor Bryan, Carson Ray Hensley, and William Nicholas Wood. Each officer successfully completed the rigorous training and certification required to serve the Bolivar community.

Police officers Christopher Blake Deming and Braxdon Coyle Frost were promoted to the rank of sergeant and Christopher Allen Sides and Christopher Daniel Wilkerson were promoted to the rank of lieutenant.

City of Bolivar Police Chief Michael Jones emphasized the significance of the oath and its meaning to the department and community.

“The oath of office is not just a formality—it’s a solemn promise to serve with integrity, accountability, and dedication,” said Chief Jones. “Each of these individuals has demonstrated the values that define our department. Today’s ceremony reflects not only personal achievement, but also our continued commitment to public safety and community trust.”
