The recipients, Hardeman County Community Health Center, Centennial Bank of Bolivar, and Boom City Fireworks, were three of 19 businesses, organizations, and government offices, which entered trees in the annual fundraising event.
The Festival of Trees was held in the Old Curves building in Bolivar and coincided with the annual Bolivar’s Small Town, Big Christmas event.
The winning trees are the following:
Boom City Fireworks, which won Children’s Choice.
Hardeman County Community Health Center, which won Community Favorite.
Centennial Bank of Bolivar, which won Judges Best.
The Carl Perkins Center supports families in Hardeman County preventing and dealing with child abuse. The Festival of Trees is just one of the fundraisers the center holds to support its efforts. In September 2024, the Carl Perkins Center held a Family Feud Live Celebrity Edition fundraiser, which raised more than $10,000. Its next fundraising event is Dine for a Cause, which will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Backwoods of Bolivar from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Ten percent of all sales and 100 percent of tips will be donated to the Hardeman County Carl Perkins Center.
