CB&S Bank recently donated $1,100.00 to the Hardeman County Imagination Library.

The Hardeman County Imagination Library has delivered books to local families since 2006, mailing over 184,000 to date and now serving  approximately 1,000 children each month, at no cost to the parents or the child.

“Long term and continued donations like the one  made by CB&S is a perfect example of how our community can step up to the plate and make a positive difference in our community,” said Monroe Woods, HCIL Coordinator. “Donations of all sizes  are helpful.”

Hardeman County Imagination Library (HCIL), in partnership with Dolly Patton’s Imagination Library (DPIL) and the Governor’s Early Literacy Foundation (GELF), provides age-appropriate books to over 1,100 eligible children, from birth to age five, monthly in Hardeman County.

Supporting Hardeman County Imagination Library puts high-quality books in homes, boosts kindergarten readiness, and lays the foundation for long-term academic success. Donations, like the one made by CB&S Bank, ensure every enrolled child continues receiving books that spark curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of reading.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is available to all Tennessee children from birth to age five through a statewide public-private partnership between Governor’s Early Literacy Foundation, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, and local partners in all 95 counties.

Supported by the Tennessee General Assembly, foundations, and corporate sponsors, GELF funds cover half the cost of books for enrolled children, while local partners (like the Hardeman County Imagination Library) raise the remaining half to sustain the program in their communities.
