The Hardeman County Chamber held a Basic Social Media Class on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at the chamber office in Bolivar. The class is the first in a four-part series that will have a special social media focus equipping students with tools to help them promote their businesses online.

“Our social media classes are crucial for helping our members thrive in the digital age,” said Vickie Walton, Hardeman County Chamber Executive Director. “These sessions provide valuable skills to boost online engagement and visibility, ultimately driving business growth and community connection. By equipping our members with these tools, we’re fostering a more vibrant and connected Hardeman County.”

During the class, members learned the “ins and outs” of basic social media functions and how to effectively engage with their audience. Some of the social media platforms discussed included Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. Ms. Walton also took time during the class to visit the social media sites of some of the members and provide suggestions for them to improve their online presence.

The second class in the series will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

“In that session, we will dive into the exciting world of graphic design and learn how to create eye-catching visuals for our social media accounts,” said Ms. Walton. “Stay tuned for a flyer with more exciting details on how to sign up for the upcoming class. You don’t want to miss this opportunity to level up your social media game!”
