City of Bolivar Names 2025 Christmas Parade Float Winners

The City of Bolivar announced the winning floats of its 2025 Christmas Parade, which was held on Saturday, December 6, 2025. The parade began at West Jefferson and West Market Streets, moved through downtown, and finished at the court square amphitheater on Warren Street. The annual City of Bolivar Christmas Parade continued the ongoing bicentennial celebration of the City, which has been recognized during several special and annual events this year. Some of those included the annual Red, White, and Bolivar Independence Day Celebration and Bolivar BBQ Blowout, and the special Mini Hee Haw Show and Miss Bolivar Bicentennial Pageant.
CoreCivic took the top prize winning Best Overall with a theme “Celebrating 200 Years of Christmas”, which was brought to life by staff from the Whiteville facility and a little help from their friends, the Smurfs.

Clark Engineering & Utility Solutions earned the win for Best Historical Representation.

Hardeman County Highway Department was named Most Festive.

Vaughan Oil Company earned the win for Best Use of Lighting.

The people voted and Bolivar Youth Athletics Softball & Cheer won the People’s Choice Award.

Although the Hardeman Adoptable Animals float did not place, the story behind the effort from start to finish is about community and worth reading.
