City of Middleton Holds November Meeting

The City of Middleton met for its regularly scheduled monthly meeting on Monday, November 20, 2023.

Some of the items discussed included:

The Aldermen approved the minutes from the October meeting, with one change.

The Aldermen approved the paying of the City’s bills for October 2023.

Fire Chief Kevin Markum was present and gave the following report:

  • Total fire calls – 12
  • Calls in the City – 3
  • Calls in the County – 9

Police Department Report {5:20 minute mark in the video}

Police Chief Arness Bowden was present and gave the following report:

  • Complaints and Activity – 298
  • Adult Arrests – 4
  • Juvenile Arrests – 1
  • Drug Arrests – 1
  • Traffic Citations – 19
  • Traffic Warnings – 14
  • Motorist Assists – 4
  • Vehicle Lock-Outs and Assists – 7
  • Other Public Assistance – 31
  • Crash reports and Accident Reports – 6
  • Alarm Calls – 6
  • City and County Assists – 28

Utility Report {6:58 minute mark in the video}

Mayor Mott presented the utility report and the Alderman approved an adjustment to a citizens sewer bill.

The board discussed ideas in relation to activities at the community center the night of the Christmas parade.

Public Comments

There were no public comments.

The revenue and expense report was distributed and then the meeting was adjourned.

The next regular meeting is scheduled for Monday, December 18, 2023, at 7 p.m.
