Commissioner Weems Leads Campfire Songs During Story-time at the Bolivar-Hardeman County Library

Commissioner Weems leads “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” by the camp fire.

Hardeman County Commissioner Johnny Weems, who also serves on the Bolivar-Hardeman County Library Board, joined in the children’s story-time last week by leading campfire songs at the Bolivar-Hardeman County Library. The library is celebrating fall and went all out with its camping theme, which includes a tent, campfire and waterfall for children to explore.

Librarian Hannah Thompson read Henry Mudge and the Starry Night while ASL interpreter Brittney Willis interpreted the book in sign language. Guest reader Shelley Taylor read One Dog Canoe and Commissioner Weems led “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” by the camp fire. After story-time, the children used flashlights to hunt bears and found a snack of Teddy Grahams waiting for them.
