Twenty-two years after the terrorist attack on America, Hardeman Countians continue to keep their commitment to “never forget,” and on Monday, September 11, 2023, they gathered at the Bolivar Fire Department for a time of reflection and remembrance.

Senator Page Walley, who was the keynote speaker of the event said, “It was an honor to be asked by Chief Price to speak at the remembrance ceremony. Just as our parents and grandparents remembered Pearl Harbor and how it unified our Nation, 9-11 reminds us likewise. We are blessed in Bolivar/Hardeman County, we look out for each other, and have first responders prepared to protect and defend us. Let us never forget.”

First responders and community members gathered for a buffet breakfast at Backwoods Restaurant in Bolivar before the memorial program.
