Competitive Canned Foods Contest Coming to Forest Festival

Home food preservers can enjoy showcasing their work by entering their canned goods in the Tennessee Forest Festival. The festival, which is scheduled for September 25 – 27, 2025, will feature traditional fair food, demonstrations and displays, a canned goods competition, competitive contests, and more. 

Home canned entries will be accepted on Monday, September 22, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Hardeman County Agribusiness Center, 210 Vildo Road in Bolivar. 

All canning entries must be labeled with the exhibitor’s name on the bottom of the jar. All jellies must be standard jelly glass or in half pint Mason jars. All other canning must be in standard quart or pint Mason jars. Premiums will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

Green Beans

Soup Mix Tomatoes

Pickles:

Banana Peppers Jalapeno Peppers
