Cruisin’ to the Frog Turned Middleton Into a Car Lover’s Heaven

Car lovers from West Tennessee and into Mississippi converged on the Town of Middleton for the third annual Cruisin’ to the Frog car experience that was held on Saturday, March 30, 2024. This is the third year car enthusiast Ken Johnson has held the event because of his love of car culture and to spotlight his hometown of Middleton.

Cruisin’ to the Frog is always held on the Saturday before Easter. This year, people brought out more than 90 cars, trucks, and motorcycles to “show off” their special vehicles, connect in the community, and talk about their love of cars. Others came out for shopping, eating at the Green Frog, and a bake sale.

Mr. Johnson shared what he loves the most about the annual Cruisin’ to the Frog event.

“The small-town setting, eating at the Green Frog, and the people and the cars,” said Mr. Johnson.

Some of the unique cars that were displayed included 1955 Chevys, 1956 Ford trucks, rat rods, motorcycles, and two Model A Fords.

“A 1962 Chevy Belair Bubble Top is my dream car,” said Mr. Johnson who considered the turnout for the event a success.
