Disney The Little Mermaid Comes to the Arts Council This Weekend

The Hardeman County Arts Council’s (HCAC) production of Disney The Little Mermaid JR. hits the stage this weekend. The show is the last theatrical production of the HCAC’s 2022/2023 season. There will be a number of familiar faces on the stage as well as some new ones. Disney The Little Mermaid JR. is co-directed by Leanne Young-Willis and Denise Estes.
The Little Mermaid JR. runs Friday, June 2 at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, June 3 at 7:00 p.m., and Sunday, June 4 at 2:00 p.m.
Synopsis: “In a magical underwater kingdom, the beautiful young mermaid, Ariel, longs to leave her ocean home – and her fins – behind and live in the world above. But first, she’ll have to defy her father, King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, and convince the handsome Prince Eric that she’s the girl whose enchanting voice he’s been seeking.”
Tickets are $12 and may be purchased online and also at the HCAC box office. The box office is open Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The HCAC will hold auditions for its fall production of Shrek The Musical JR. on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at 6 p.m. and on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 2 p.m. Karaoke Night will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at 7 p.m. Call the HCAC at (731) 658-2787 for more information about both events.
