Dr. Smith and School Board Recognize Leadership Team
Dr. Christy Smith and Hardeman County School Board members took a moment during the Tuesday, June 10, 2025, school board meeting to recognize stake holders Ms. Lisa Higgs, Executive Assistant Direct of Finance; Mr. James Rutherford, Assistant Director of Teaching and Learning, and Dr. Darrell Wooden, Assistant Director of Operations.
According to Dr. Smith, the Hardeman County Schools is the second largest employer in Hardeman County.
“Three and a half years ago, I asked Ms. Lisa Higgs, Mr. Rutherford, and Dr. Wooden to be a part of the executive assistant director leadership team. We’ve been in this together the whole time, and it definitely takes a team. it absolutely has to be a team effort,” said Dr. Smith. “There is no way this can happen without these people and I just wanted to especially recognize them.”
