Fayette Cares Charity Gala: An Unforgettable Evening of Glamour and Generosity
Somerville, TN – The Fayette Cares, A Night of Southern Elegance – Evening on the Red Carpet charity event held on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at The Venue, was a dazzling display of Hollywood-style elegance and southern charm. This memorable night spotlighted the power of empathy and the spirit of giving within our community.
Guests made a glamorous and grand entrance on the red carpet where they were met with a flurry of paparazzi. The Venue buzzed with excitement, featuring a 360 video booth that added an extra sparkle before the evening’s main attractions: a highly anticipated auction and sumptuous dinner prepared by Heart & Soul Catering by Michael Frances. In a touching tribute to Veterans Day, the event commenced with a Pledge of Allegiance, led by one of Fayette Cares founding board members and former state Senator, Dolores Gresham.
The auction was a thrilling highlight, featuring coveted items like an opulent fur coat, a sleek Mercedes-Benz E-Bike, and exclusive experiences ranging from a luxurious Turks and Caicos getaway to adventurous guided hunts. The bidding was fervent, reflecting the guests’ commitment to the cause.
A poignant moment of the evening was marked by Fayette Cares Board Member and domestic violence survivor, Amy Oliver. Her moving testimony underscored the critical impact of Fayette Cares’ programs, which provided her family with safety and stability. Inspired by her words, guests generously contributed, raising funds to light the way for families facing hardship.
Poverty, abuse, and hopelessness create a somber narrative for many, their tragic stories can play on through generations. But a superstar cast of caring sponsors, donors, guests, and volunteers are writing a new script for families in crisis. The generosity shown at this gala gives shelter and safety, food, supplies, resources, and guidance to reshoot scenes of despair into tales of hope and stability.
