Fayette County Master Gardeners Revive Fayette Cares Homeless Shelter Garden

Somerville, TN – Fayette Cares is grateful for the on-going contributions of the Fayette County Master Gardeners, who not only volunteer at plant sale events but also contribute their time and expertise to cultivate the Fayette Cares homeless shelter gardens.

Following last year’s successful relocation of the garden beds by the Ring Container Technologies team after an erosion repair project, the Master Gardeners have planted a variety of herbs, including basil, cilantro, and lavender, as well as vegetables like tomatoes, cucumbers, and squash.

The fresh produce from these garden beds will contribute healthy foods for the families and individuals Fayette Cares serves, all while providing a tranquil space to help restore and rebuild from crisis.  Through this partnership, caring supporters are not only nurturing a garden but also nurturing a healthier and brighter future for those in need.
