FBI Fugitive Alert Results in Lockdown at Grand Junction Elementary

Grand Junction Elementary was placed on a precautionary lock down this morning.

Early Thursday morning, September 14, 2023, the FBI executed a search warrant on Smith Road in Grand Junction, Tennessee. The suspect fled the scene on foot armed with a rifle. The suspect is described as a black male, 5’9”, wearing gray jogging pants and no shirt, and carrying an AR style rifle.

Grand Junction Elementary was placed on a lockdown as a precaution earlier today. At this time, there is no threat to any of the students or staff at the school and the lockdown has been lifted.
