Former Middleton High School (MHS) Lady Tigers volleyball players returned to the court on Saturday, November 2, 2024, for the annual alumni MHS Lady Tigers Volleyball game. The players included women from the graduating classes of 2015 to 2023, and many who have returned each year to participate in the event.

Before the games started, the players spent time catching up while practicing their shots and serving skills. MHS volleyball Coach Zeke Craft divided the alumni teams with the Classes of 2015 through 2020 playing against the Classes of 2021 and 2023. Some of the women had not been on the court since the 2023 MHS Lady Tigers Volleyball alumni game. Overall, all of the players held their own well. By the time they played the second game, everyone had reclaimed their rhythm and it was good competitive volleyball on both sides.

Although the afternoon ended with a lot of exhaustion, it was a feeling none of the women begrudged. Coach Craft holds the alumni game each year, because the players express an interest and always return for a great time of fun and reunion with each other. For the parents and extended family of the former players, it is also an event they look forward to attending. During the years the women played for MHS, the family spent the same amount of time attending games, sitting in the stands, and cheering as the girls played. Those memories continue to be fond ones for both the players and their family.
