Fourth of July Celebrations 2024

Independence Day will be celebrated this year with hot dogs, hamburgers, barbecue, and a lot of fireworks. The following are where you can find the latter and more fun to celebrate the holiday. The list will be updated as we learn of other events. Please e-mail news@hatchiepress.com if you know of Hardeman County events not listed that are scheduled.

The Town of Somerville 2024 Fireworks Show

The Town of Somerville will present a fireworks show on the front lawn of Fayette Ware High School, 13470 Tennessee-59, Somerville, on Thursday, June 27, 2024. Wolf River Rednecks will take the stage at 7 p.m. There will also be food trucks and family fun.

Red, White & Bolivar Independence Day Celebration

The City of Bolivar is sponsoring a Red, White & Bolivar Independence Day Celebration on Friday, June 28, 2024. The celebration will take place at Sand Beach Lake, 575 East Market Street, just east of downtown Bolivar.

Gates open at 6 p.m. and the celebration kicks off at 7:30 p.m., and will feature fireworks, food trucks, and live music. Katrina Anderson is the featured entertainer for the evening. The fireworks display is expected to begin at 9 p.m. and be the largest in Hardeman County. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to use during the fireworks show.

Town of Hickory Valley Independence Day Celebration

The Town of Hickory Valley will celebrate Independence Day on Thursday July 4, 2024, with its annual parade and picnic. Line up for the parade will be at the Hickory Valley Gin parking lot at 10:30 a.m. and the parade will start at 11 a.m. Marchers, floats, and decorated vehicles are welcome. After the parade, bring a dish to share and join us at the Hickory Valley City Hall for a potluck meal. The Town of Hickory Valley will provide burgers, hot dogs, and soft drinks. Plan to join us while we salute our great country!
