Free Spay/Neuter Grant Exhausted, Volunteer to Earn Option Still Available

Less than one week ago, the Hardeman Adoptable Animals (HAA) announced it was the recipient of a grant from the State of Tennessee to provide financial assistance for spay/neuter services to the companion animals of county residents receiving government aid. As of Tuesday, March 11, 2025, those funds were exhausted due to the number of applications HAA received in response to the offer. HAA hopes after Friday, July 4, 2025, it will receive another grant, which can be offered to the community.

The HAA does have an option for people to receive free spay/neuter services for their pet, which is open to all regardless of their financial status. By volunteering for 20 or more hours, a pet owner may earn one surgery. You may learn more about that opportunity by texting (731) 234-4421 for more information.
