General Sessions Judge Thompson Delivers a Special Gift to Saulsbury Library
Hardeman County General Sessions Judge Harriet Thompson paid a special visit to the Saulsbury Library on Saturday, May 18, 2024, bringing with her a special gift of the book, Mothers Can Do Anything. The book, authored by Joe Lasker and originally published in 1972, features a story around the various occupations that mothers do.
Ms. Thompson, who became the first female General Sessions Judge in Hardeman County, is also a proud mother. Although not featured in the story, Thompson is another example of a mother who is accomplished in her career and has shown “mothers can do anything”.
Ms. Thompson read to the children who were present at the library and even took time to enjoy learning the art of book folding. She intends to present a copy of the book to every library in Hardeman County.
