Give the Gift of Reading This Holiday Season

The Hardeman County Imagination Library (HCIL) has the perfect gift idea for you to give to a child this Christmas season, which is the gift of reading. Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, an early childhood literacy program, delivers free books monthly to children from birth to age five fostering a love of reading while building a library of age-appropriate and engaging books.
Since the program began in Hardeman County in 2006, more than 153,000 books have been delivered to area children. Currently, there are about 1,100 children through the age of five, who receive books monthly. Hardeman County has been recognized for having the highest county enrollment rate in Tennessee. In order for the program to successfully continue serving those children, it needs financial to support. According to Monroe Woods of the HCIL, a person can donate $26 and that will support monthly books for one child annually in Hardeman County.
Imagine the impact you can have in the life of a child with an annual or financial monthly donation. It will be a gift, which helps to not only inspire learning, but strengthen a child’s educational foundation.
You can donate to the HCIL, a 501c3 non-profit, by mailing a check to:
HCIL, P.O. Box 501, Bolivar, Tennessee 38008
All donations made to the HCIL are tax deductible and help pay the monthly book order for children in Hardeman County.
