Grand Junction Library Summer News

Local author K. Turner reads to children at the Grand Junction Library.

By Diane Callahan

The Grand Junction Library has been busy this summer with something for all ages. Our children in the area enjoyed the Summer Reading Program and the Hardeman County Scavenger Hunt. Our library provided three prong pocket folders for the scavenger hunt and we still have some left for those who stop by. We will also add notebook paper packages while supplies last. For adults, we held computer classes with eight graduates who were awarded Chromebook laptops at the conclusion of the classes. Our Job Fair was so successful that we are having another one on Thursday, August 24, 2023, beginning at 1 p.m. Our GED classes are continuing on Wednesdays for adults wanting to get their high school equivalency. For our elementary students and school starting again soon, we have a wonderful selection of Accelerated Reading (AR) books for all levels. Come to the Grand Junction Library and take advantage of these wonderful local resources!

Stop by the Grand Junction Library on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. or on Wednesdays and Fridays from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. We look forward to seeing you!

The Grand Junction Library is located at 530 Madison Avenue West, Grand Junction, Tennessee 38039. Call the library at (731) 764-2716 for more information.
