Grand Junction Swears in Elected Officials

Grand Junction Mayor Curtis Lane and three alderman were sworn in at the regularly scheduled City of Grand Junction monthly meeting on the evening of Monday, December 5, 2022. General Sessions Judge Boyette Denton performed the ceremony and was assisted by Hardeman County Mayor Todd Pulse.

Mayor Lane was challenged in the November 8, 2022, election by mayoral candidate Nakita L. Prewitt, but won his bid for re-election and will now begin serving his fifth term as mayor.

Benjamin Allen, Steven Luellen, and Robert “Red” Webb were sworn in by Judge Denton, and will begin serving a four year term as aldermen of the City of Grand Junction.

After the meeting, a reception was held at the community center. Mayor Lane recognized two outgoing aldermen who were in attendance, James Holder and Adrian Smith, and thanked them for serving their city.

The City of Grand Junction meets on the first Monday of the month at 7 p.m. at City Hall. The public is welcome to attend.
