Hardeman County Bicentennial Celebration Planned for October 28
Hardeman County has planned a bicentennial celebration to recognize the 200th birthday of our great county on Saturday, October 28, 2023. The celebration will kickoff with an opening ceremony at 11 a.m. on the courthouse lawn. Exhibits, demonstrations, and a display of the time capsule contents (available now to view) will be available throughout the day at the Hardeman County Courthouse. A reception will be held from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at The Columns (303 West McNeal Street, Bolivar) Everyone is invited to the reception. Tours of select historic sites in Bolivar will be available from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Bicentennial Celebration – Saturday, October 28, 2023
- 11 a.m. – Opening ceremony on the Hardeman County Courthouse Lawn.
- 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. – Reception at The Columns (303 West McNeal Street).
- 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. – Tours of select historic sites in Bolivar:
- Historic Hardeman County Courthouse – Corner of Market Street and Main Street
- The Columns – 303 West McNeal Street
- St. James Church and Ingram Hall – 223 West Lafayette Street
- The Little Courthouse – 215 East Market Street
