Hardeman County Commission Meeting – September 2023

The Hardeman County Commission met for its regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, September 19, 2023.

Some of the items covered include:

  • Public Forum {2:00 min mark} No citizens spoke during the public forum.
  • Reports from Road Superintendent Casey Swift, Landfill Director Steven Graves, Library Board, Ambulance Committee Report, Sheriff Doolen, and Bicentennial Committee. {beginning at 3:00 min mark} click here to read the Sheriff’s report

  • Budget Amendments {53:00 min mark}
  • Interlocal Resolution {1:02:00 min mark} the City of Grand Junction is disbanding its Zoning/Planning Commission and it will now be up to the County to handle. Commissioners decided to set this aside until the October meeting.
  • Lawsuit Update – Attorney Dale Conder reported two solar farm lawsuits have been resolved, the FSLA lawsuit is scheduled for trial on October 23, 2023, and the Jonathon Joy vs. Hardeman County et al case was dismissed {1:03:00 min mark}

Mayor Todd Pulse, Commissioner Russell DeBerry, and Commissioner Thomas Polk were absent from the meeting.

The County Commission will next meet on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at the Hardeman County Courthouse. The public is invited and encouraged to attend.
