Hardeman County Harvest Festivals & Trunk-or-Treats
Lots of candy can be found this month at harvest festivals and trunk-or-treats being held across the county. Make plans to attend one (or as many as you can, your kids will love you) this month. The list will be updated as we learn of more events. If you know of an event not listed, please share the information in the comments and we will add it to the list. Mossy Haunts Presents House of Fright { Hardeman County Agribusiness Center, 210 Vildo Road, Bolivar, 38008 } on Fridays and Saturdays, October 13 – 14, 20 – 21, 27 – 28, and 31, 2023, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Not recommended for children under the age of 10. Admission is $20.
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 21, 2023
Stockdale’s Howl-O-Ween Pet Costume Contest will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is an online event, but you must have your pet’s picture taken at your local Stockdale’s store { 1675 West Market Street, Bolivar, 38008 }. The pet that wins will receive a $250 Stockdale’s gift card.
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 25, 2023
Hornsby Baptist Church { 115 Fulghum Street, Hornsby, 38044 } will hold a Trunk or Treat Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at 6 p.m. Costumes are encouraged, but not required. Bring your family and friends.
Trinity Baptist Church { 1210 Tate Road, Bolivar 38008 } will hold Treats at Trinity Drive Thru on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. Everyone will stay in their vehicles and put their buckets outside of the car windows to receive treats.
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 27, 2023
Whiteville Correctional Facility { 1440 Union Springs Rd * Whiteville Tn } will be have a Haunted House on Friday October 27, 2023, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. There will candy, popcorn, hot dogs, and juice. Donations will be accepted for the Carl Perkins Center.
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 28, 2023
Bee Kind Tea and Coffee Trunk or Treat { 132 West Tennessee Avenue, Middleton, 38052 } will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Grand Valley Lakes is holding a Trunk-or-Treat in its parking lot on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 7 p.m.
Middleton Elementary School { 180 Robin Court, Middleton, 38052 } is holding a harvest festival on Saturday, October 28, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. There will be food, fun, games, a haunted house, a country store, and a silent, and at 5 p.m. a live auction will be held.
Parrans Chapel Rummage Sale and Fall Festival Parrans Chapel Baptist Church { 9400 Old U.S. Highway 64 in Bolivar, 38008 } on Saturday, October 28, 2023, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Portion of the sales will be donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in the name of Owen Sullivan who is a member of the church.
Toone Baptist Church { 20 Keller Street, Toone, 38381 } will hold a Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 28, 2023, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. It’s Annual Bonfire, more fun for the family, will start at 5:30 p.m. Hot chocolate, smores, and hotdogs will be served, and there will be games for the kids.
Town of Toone Craft Fair { 2005 Tennessee Highway 138, Toone, 38381 } is holding a in the Park, on Saturday, October 31, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Pocahontas First Baptist Church { 207 Main Street, Pocahontas, 38061 } is holding a hallelujah festival with a trunk-or-treat on Sunday, October 29, 2023, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. There will be food – chili, hot dogs, potato soup, desserts, and more, face painting, bounce house, games, and hayrides.
Porters Creek Baptist Church { 5120 Peavine Road, Middleton, 38052 } will have food, hayrides, games, and candy on Sunday, October 29, 2023, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 31, 2023
2nd Annual Russell Road Community Trick or Treat { Russell Road, Bolivar, 38008 } will be held on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at 6 pm. and until the candy runs out. Look for the houses with a balloon on its mailbox.
Bolivar Ford { 10140 U.S. Highway 64, Bolivar, 38008 } is holding a trunk-or-treat on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at 4 p.m.
First Baptist Church Bolivar { 826 West Market Street, Bolivar, 38008 } is holding a trunk-or-treat on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The Hardeman County Chamber will be joined by several businesses across the county for a Spooktacular Business Trick or Treat on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Hatchie Bottom Boyz BBQ { 710 Kilgore Road, Toone } is holding a Halloween Trunk or Treat party on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. All children wearing a costume will get a free BBQ slider, chips, and a drink. There will also be candy, games, treats, and more.
Pine Meadows No Tricks, Just Treats { 700 Nuckolls Road, Bolivar, 38008 } will be held on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.. Come by and visit with the residents and fill your bags with candy.
Pocahontas Convenience Center { 22625 Highway 57, Pocahontas, 38061 } will be passing out candy on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Town of Whiteville is holding the Main Street Trunk-or-Treat { on Main Street } on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at 7 p.m.

Hornsby Elementary School { 105 Church Street, Hornsby, 38044 } is holding a harvest festival on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at 12 p.m. There will be games, food, bouncers, a hayride, and a live auction.
