Hardeman County residents get out to vote early

Early voting got off to a slow start in Hardeman County as the threat of severe weather kept many people home Wednesday. According to the Hardeman County Election Commission, 161 people showed up to vote on the first day of early voting. 55 of those voted in the Republican Primary and 106 voted in the Democratic Primary. Before heading to the polls, make sure you have what’s needed to cast you ballot. You will need to bring a federal or state issued photo ID. A current driver’s license, handgun permit or passport will do. Early voting continues through April 28th. The early voting hours are Monday thru Friday, 9:00 am until 4:00 pm and Saturday 9:00 am until 12:00 pm. Closed April 15th for Good Friday. The only early voting location in the county is the Hardeman County Election Commission- 106 S. Porter St., Bolivar, Tennessee.
