Hardeman County Schools Offers School Transfer Option

Families with students enrolled in the Hardeman County Schools will have the option to send their children to schools outside of their zoned area during the open enrollment period, which opens Monday, April 3, 2023. The number of seats available by school and grade are posted on the district website, www.hcsedu.org.

If seats are available, out-of-zone students can be enrolled in their requested school. Once a student has accepted admission and is attending a school through Open Enrollment, he or she can remain at the school until reaching the highest grade offered. That student can then proceed to the next school in that school cluster, either Bolivar Central High School or Middleton High School. Transportation is not provided for students transferring to a school outside of their zoned area.

To request a transfer, you will need to pick up an application starting on April 3 at any Hardeman County School office, at the Hardeman County Schools Central Office – 10815 Old Highway 64, Bolivar, Tennessee, or print the application that will be available on the district website (hcsedu.org) starting on April 3.

The application window will remain open through Monday, May 1, 2023. No further applications will be accepted after the close of business on May 1. Completed applications must be delivered in person to the Hardeman County Schools Central Office. Mailed, faxed, or e-mailed applications will not be accepted.
