Bolivar-Hardeman County Library’s Hannah Thompson Leaves to Continue her College Education
Bolivar-Hardeman County Library (BHCL) employees and patrons said goodbye this month to Hannah Thompson, who has worked as the program coordinator at the library since September 2022. { read article }

Major Economic Development Grants Awarded in Our District
I am very pleased our district is receiving three of the twelve new grants, which is about $2.84 million out of the $17.9 million awarded. { read article }

BEA’s Broadband Network Complete; Gigabit Internet Now Available Across Service Territory
Bolivar Energy Authority (BEA) achieves a significant milestone by completing its 100 percent gigabit-capable broadband network, offering Aeneas Internet and Telephone to all electric customers across BEA-served communities. { read article }

New Teachers at Bolivar Middle and Toone Elementary Receive Minigrants
Shannon Rodgers, a seventh and eighth grade math teacher at Toone Elementary School, and Anna Nelling, an eighth-grade science teacher at Bolivar Middle School, were the proud recipients of classroom minigrants awarded by the Beta Sigma Chapter Delta Kappa Gamma (DKG) during its “Christmas in January” brunch. { read article }

Girls Who Code Club Offered to Hardeman County Students to Promote STEM Education
Yes! Girls do code and Ms. Deana Sain, Hardeman County Schools K-8 STEM Coordinator, wants to introduce, and encourage Hardeman County sixth through twelfth grade girls in the area of coding, which follows under STEM education. { read article }
