Two Basketball Offers, Just the Beginning for Harmony Bell

Middleton High School Lady Tigers basketball player Harmony Bell received offers from Mississippi University for Women and Simmons College of Kentucky.

Middleton High School student and athlete Harmony Bell is just a junior this year, but offers for her to play basketball at the collegiate level have already started coming in. She has received an offer from Mississippi University for Women and just this past week, one from Simmons College of Kentucky. Harmony’s skill on the court allows her the privilege to be braggadocios, but she remains humble acknowledging from where these opportunities are coming from.

“I am just extremely blessed! I had lost hope that I would ever get an offer because I was going into my senior year with zero offers. This has changed my perspective and makes me want to go harder just to see what more blessings will come my way,” said Harmony.

Going harder than she has already done will be a sight to see. Harmony finished the 2024/2025 basketball season with several accomplishments, which include reaching 1,000 points, winning the District Championship with her Lady Tigers teammates, and being named to the 2025 All-Region 7A Tournament Team.

Harmony, who is originally from Lamar, Mississippi, moved to Tennessee when she was in sixth grade and a student at Ashland Elementary School.

“Receiving an offer from my home state alone means a lot in general,” said Harmony, who is excited to also have the new offer from Simmons College.

Harmony is already looking forward to playing as a Lady Tiger in her senior year at Middleton High School. Along with excelling academically, Harmony has seen personal growth on the basketball court.

“I’ve reached a lot of goals I have set which shows me that I am determined and motivated. I’ve became more vocal and understanding to the game,” said Harmony, who is excited about her final year with her teammates. “I am looking forward to pushing my teammates and I to a state championship!”

We have a feeling this is going to be just one of many articles Hatchie Press will write about Harmony Bell receiving offers to play basketball at the collegiate level.
