Bolivar Central Football Tigers Win First Playoff Game Since 2007

The Bolivar Central High School (BCHS) Tigers football team came home winners after a 36-32 first round playoff against the Sheffield High School Mighty Knights on Friday, November 8, 2024. The last time BCHS made it to the playoffs was in 2017, and the last time the Tigers finished with a playoff win was in 2007. {read article}
Kyndle Wylde Wows at “Thank You Bolivar” Concert

Kyndle began her set with “Higher” and took the audience to that point with an energy that drew everyone in while setting an exhilarating tone that stayed lively throughout the entirety of the show. The audience was treated with some new and original songs she and her husband, Adam, have been working on. {read article}
Helicopter Fly-in Marks Official Opening of Middleton Helipad {video}

The City of Middleton officially opened its new helipad with a ribbon cutting ceremony, which included a fly-in and landing of a Hospital Wing helicopter. The new helipad in Middleton is one of six locations that is served by the Hospital Wing. {read article}
Chasney Vue, A Young Lady Serving Her Community

Chasney Vue may be small in stature, but in no way should this young lady be overlooked. She is a senior at Middleton High School (MHS), who has excelled academically and athletically, already making her presence well known. Despite those accomplishments, Chasney has also become known for her compassion for others, which has blossomed into a heart and dedication for community service. {read article}

Over the years, they all have become a tight knit group of friends. They do not represent any one church in Hardeman County and instead represent Christians in the county coming together in the love of Jesus Christ. You could say the group looks like Hardeman County when it comes together with no racial or spiritual divides, and just has a common love of Jesus Christ. {read article}
Carla Doyle Chosen 2023/2024 Middleton High School Teacher of the Year

Following God’s lead has led Ms. Doyle on a path that did not start in education. Prior to working in Health Science Education at MHS, she worked as an RN in the areas of cardiac critical care and dialysis. She currently teaches Health Science, Anatomy & Physiology/Medical Terminology, and Nurse Education (CNA) classes at MHS. Ms. Doyle also works as the HOSA advisor, BETA advisor, and Senior Class sponsor. {read article}

Strides in S.T.E.M. Education Being Made in Area Schools

Ms. Sain noted the discussion of maker space and S.T.E.M. education become conversation in the school district in 2018, and as early as 2003 while she was a teacher at Bolivar Elementary School, which was the first NASA STEM School in the State of Tennessee. Since the opening of the S.T.E.M. Center, the Hardeman County Schools has been supportive of Ms. Sain’s effort to promote that area of study. {read article}

Reece is looking forward to participating in the Honors Performance Series Music Program. He expects it to be a great experience that will nurture his musical interests and allow him to meet other talented musicians. Reece’s long term plans are to go to college and major in performance, study in music education, or earn a general music degree. He has hopes of joining a wind ensemble somewhere and playing professionally. {read article}
