The Town of Whiteville is excited to announce its 3rd Annual Main Street Festival will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023, from 12 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The festival this year features a great lineup of bands, dancers, and other entertainment. Caleb Minter, who is the featured musician, will perform along with the First Baptist Quartet from Bolivar, Southern Rose, and Brown Baptist Church from Southaven, Mississippi. {click here to read more about the event}
The Bolivar Academy of Cycling invites you to join them for a Bike Safety Class on August 26th at 9:00 a.m. at the Bolivar Municipal Building, 211 West Jackson Street in Bolivar. The Smart Cycling Course will include tips and techniques that increase the benefits of bicycling while staying safe when riding along the streets and roads of Hardeman County.{Click here to learn more and register for this free class}
Saturday, August 26, 2023, is the last day to register for fall baseball and softball at the Lions Club fields in Highway 64 in Bolivar. Registration is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Baseball registrants must be four years old by May 1, 2023, and softball registrants must be four years old by January 1, 2023.
Music on the Square – This Friday night, Clement Griffin is opening for The Southern Rose. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy a free, family-friendly concert behind the Hardeman County Courthouse in Bolivar on Friday evening at 7 p.m. In the event of rain, Music on the Square will move to the Farmers Market Pavilion. {see the full Music on the Square schedule here}
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (PG) is showing at the historic Luez Theater! Showtimes are Friday, August 25, 2023, at 7 p.m., and Saturday, August 26, 2023, at 3:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. The box office opens one hour prior to showtime for ticket sales.
