Drums Alive classes return to the Middleton Community Library {110 Bolton Avenue, Middleton, 38052} for a five-class series at 11 a.m. A $20 registration fee applies and you must be registered to attend.
The Grand Junction Library is open form 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The Bolivar-Hardeman County Library { 213 North Washington Street, Bolivar, 38008 } is holding Teen Film Club Friday at 3:30 p.m. The featured movie is The Parent Trap with Lindsay Lohan.
It’s Friday Night Lights for Bolivar Central High School (BCHS) and Middleton High School (MHS) football teams. See when BCHS plays and when MHS plays.
Take in a movie at the Luez Theater {219 North Main Street, Bolivar, 38008} where The Naked Gun is showing on the big screen at 7 p.m. Synopsis: “Only one man has the particular set of skills… to lead Police Squad and save the world! Lt. Frank Drebin Jr. (Liam Neeson) follows in his father’s footsteps.”
Music on the Square happens on the Courthouse Square and features Sparky Sparks opening at 7 p.m. for Mike and the Classics, which takes the stage at 8 p.m.

Bolivar Farmers Market {110 Lafayette Street, Bolivar 38008} is open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Grand Junction Farmers Market {216 Highway 57, Grand Junction, 38039} is open from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The Middleton Community Library is closed today for Labor Day.
Dirt Divas Softball tryouts for 8U will be held at the West Park Ballfield {75 Athletic Lane, Bolivar, 38008} from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
The Whiteville Mainstreet Festival will be held in Downtown Whiteville from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. There will be food and product vendors, a barbecue contest, and more. The special featured music artists for the event are Stan Bell, Leebo, and Bobby Rush. Fireworks will be at 10 p.m. A fun day/night for the entire family!

Open Air on the Square features the PC Band with special guest DJ Jus Born on the historic court square amphitheater at 7 p.m. The music begins at 8 pm. There will be food trucks, vendors, and a block party, which starts at 10 p.m.
Brint’s Chapel Baptist Church {3260 Brints Chapel Lane, Middleton, 38052} is holding Bonfire and Friends with smores, dinner, and devotion at 6:30 p.m.
