Government offices are closed in observance of Independence Day. The Hardeman County landfill will reopen on Saturday, July 5, 2025, for regular hours.
The Town of Hickory Valley will celebrate Independence Day with its annual parade and picnic. Line up for the parade will be at the Hickory Valley Gin parking lot at 10:30 a.m. and the parade will start at 11 a.m. Marchers, floats, and decorated vehicles are welcome. After the parade, bring a dish to share and join us at the Hickory Valley City Hall for a potluck meal. The Town of Hickory Valley will provide burgers, hot dogs, and soft drinks. Plan to join us while we salute our great country!
The town of Saulsbury will celebrate our freedom with the community at 5 p.m. on the Green between the Baptist church and the library. There will be games, fun, and food. Bring your lawn chair and a quilt and enjoy the free event.
Take in a movie at the Luez Theater { 219 North Main Street, Bolivar, 38008 } where Jurassic World Rebirth is showing on the big screen at 7 p.m. Synopsis: “Five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion, the planet’s ecology has proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs. Grand Junction Farmers Market {216 Highway 57, Grand Junction, 38039} is open from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The Bolivar-Hardeman County Library {213 North Washington Street, Bolivar, 38008} has new Saturday hours, which are now 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Central Baptist Church {13370 Lake Hardeman Road, Middleton, 38052} is holding a fish fry and gospel/bluegrass hymn singing at 3 p.m.

Open Air Summer Concert Series present “Open Night Reloaded” at the Court Square Amphitheater {110 Warren Street, Bolivar, 38008} from 7 p.m. to Midnight.
