FRIDAY, JUNE 13, 2025
Stockdale’s Bolivar is holding a Father’s Day Giveaway and you may enter online now though today (6/13). The winner will be announced today.

The West Tennessee Healthcare Satellite Clinic will be at the parking lot of Food Rite { 16240 U.S. Highway 64, Somerville 38068 } from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. It offers free primary care, behavioral health, and substance use treatment services.

Bolivar-Hardeman County Library will kick off its Summer Reading program, Color Our World from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. There will be bouncy houses, face painting, temporary tattoos, and games. The Summer Reading program is open to children, ages preschool through high school.

Toone Baptist Church will hold “What a Mess VBS” from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Porters Creek Baptist Church will hold “Wonder Junction” – Marvel at Jesus, Live for His Glory, for preschool through twelfth grade from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Take in a movie at the Luez Theater { 219 North Main Street, Bolivar, 38008 } where How to Train Your Dragon is showing on the big screen at 7 p.m. Synopsis“On the rugged isle of Berk, where Vikings and dragons have been bitter enemies for generations, Hiccup (Mason Thames; The Black Phone, For All Mankind) stands apart. The inventive yet overlooked son of Chief Stoick the Vast (Gerard Butler, reprising his voice role from the animated franchise), Hiccup defies centuries of tradition when he befriends Toothless, a feared Night Fury dragon. Their unlikely bond reveals the true nature of dragons, challenging the very foundations of Viking society.

SATURDAY, JUNE 14, 2025
The U.T. Hardeman County Extension Office is holding an Ask A Master Gardener event at Backermann’s Country Market {260 US 64, Whiteville38075} from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. A summer gardening tips seminar will be presented by TSU Extension Horticulture Agent, Rachel Howell, from 9 a.m. to 9:10 a.m. and again from 10 a.m. to 10:10 a.m.

The 5th Annual Dexter McCluster Football Camp, a free event, will be held at Whiteville City Park {318 West Main Street, Whiteville 38075} from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Boys and girls, ages five to 18, are welcome to attend and participate in learning skills and ball techniques, footwork exercises, fun games and trial matches, and more. There will special surprise guests and free food. Register your child online to attend.

HCCHC Fun in the Sun, an expectant mothers meet and greet with Dr. Naida, MD (pediatrician), will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be food, fun, vendors, and prizes.

A No Kings Protest will be held in front of the Hardeman County Courthouse in Bolivar from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

First Baptist Church Middleton {525 North Main Street, Middleton 38052} is holding a Cars and Cookout Extravaganza at 5 p.m. Check out the classic cars, enjoy great food, and family fun. Register to attend the event.
