Friends of the Bolivar-Hardeman County Library {213 North Washington Street, Bolivar, 38008} is holding a Pack a Bag for $1 Book Sale during library hours while books last.

Read the Hardeman County Restaurant Inspection Scores and find somewhere new to eat this weekend in Hardeman County.

Volunteer and give back to your community at one of these locations this weekend (or during the week). If your child will use the Tennessee Promise in the fall as a new or returning students, they can volunteer at one or more of those locations to satisfy the community service hour requirement. Tennessee Promise hours for fall 2024 students must be completed by Monday, July 1, 2024.

Bolivar City Pool is open for the summer from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $2.

Star, Inc. brings Broadway Nights: Summer Lovin’ to the Fair Theater stage {114 East Market Street, Somerville, Tennessee, 38068} at 7 p.m. Don’t miss seeing this talented cast perform favorites from across Broadway live. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased online and at the Fair Theater one hour before the performance.

Bring your lawn chair and enjoy Music on the Square with the music of Brian Lee Howell “Elvis” at 7 p.m. and then Three Flights Up at 8 p.m.

Take in a movie at the Luez Theater {219 North Main Street, Bolivar, 38008} where Disney and Pixar’s “Inside Out 2” will show on the big screen at 7 p.m.

Synopsis: Disney and Pixar’s “Inside Out 2” returns to the mind of newly minted teenager Riley just as headquarters is undergoing a sudden demolition to make room for something entirely unexpected: new Emotions! Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust, who’ve long been running a successful operation by all accounts, aren’t sure how to feel when Anxiety shows up. And it looks like she’s not alone. Maya Hawke lends her voice to Anxiety, alongside Amy Poehler as Joy, Phyllis Smith as Sadness, Lewis Black as Anger, Tony Hale as Fear, and Liza Lapira as Disgust. Directed by Kelsey Mann and produced by Mark Nielsen.

Summer Reading Log sheets are due to the Middleton Library by 1 p.m. The Library hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Shop books and other educational resources at the Homeschool Roster Homeschool Consignment Sale. Shopping hours this weekend are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The sale continues into next week and closes on Saturday, July 6, 2024. Check the Homeschool Roster Facebook page for more hours.

The Middleton Civitan Club and Middleton Fire Department are partnering to host a fundraiser for Middleton High School senior Colby Childress who was diagnosed with neuroblastoma. There will be a run/walk at 7:30 a.m. with check in starting at 6 a.m., and an entry fee of $30. The cookoff will begin later in the morning and there will be games for children, a live auction, a gun raffle, and more .
