Volunteer and give back to your community at one of these locations this weekend (or during the week). If your child will use the Tennessee Promise in the fall as a new or returning students, they can volunteer at one or more of those locations to satisfy the community service hour requirement. Tennessee Promise hours for fall 2024 students must be completed by Monday, July 1, 2024.

Bolivar City Pool is open for the summer from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $2.

Red, White & Bolivar Independence Day Celebration, sponsored by the City of Bolivar, will be held on Friday, June 28, 2024. It is just one of the events being held in recognition of the Fourth of July. The celebration will take place at Sand Beach Lake, 575 East Market Street, just east of downtown Bolivar.
Gates open at 6 p.m. and the celebration kicks off at 7:30 p.m., and will feature fireworks, food trucks, and live music. Katrina Anderson is the featured entertainer for the evening. The fireworks display is expected to begin at 9 p.m. and be the largest in Hardeman County. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to use during the fireworks show.

Tickets are $10 and may be purchased online and at the Fair Theater one hour before the performance.

Take in a movie at the Luez Theater {219 North Main Street, Bolivar, 38008} where Disney and Pixar’s “Inside Out 2” will show on the big screen at 7 p.m. The theater was packed last Friday and Saturday nights. Don’t miss your chance to see this movie for the first time (or again) as it is being held over for a third week.
Synopsis: Disney and Pixar’s “Inside Out 2” returns to the mind of newly minted teenager Riley just as headquarters is undergoing a sudden demolition to make room for something entirely unexpected: new Emotions! Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust, who’ve long been running a successful operation by all accounts, aren’t sure how to feel when Anxiety shows up. And it looks like she’s not alone. Maya Hawke lends her voice to Anxiety, alongside Amy Poehler as Joy, Phyllis Smith as Sadness, Lewis Black as Anger, Tony Hale as Fear, and Liza Lapira as Disgust. Directed by Kelsey Mann and produced by Mark Nielsen.
